Deputy Department Leader “Data Management and Knowledge Discovery” and “System Architecture” German Aerospace Center (DLR)
Sascha Knake-Langhorst studied Electrical Engineering specializing in Automation Engineering at Leibniz University of Hanover and received his diploma degree in 2004. Since 2005, he is with Institute of Transportation Systems at German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Braunschweig as research scientist. In 2013, he became Team Leader of a working group focusing in the field of traffic situation assessment. Since 2016, he is deputy leader of departments “Data Management and Knowledge Discovery” and “System Architecture”. He is responsible for the strategic orientation and scientific development of both divisions. Their fields of work cover a wide range of topics in the ITS domain ranging from architecture concepts and sensor data fusion to spatial data processing as well as asset and system monitoring and situation assessment methods based on semantic structures.
