Stefan Luthardt received his Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and information technology at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences in 2011. Subsequently, he continued his studies at Technical University Darmstadt with focus on control, artificial intelligence and system modelling. After studying one term at Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden) in 2013 he finished his studies in 2014 with a thesis at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing and Automation (IPA). Since 2015 he is a researcher and Ph.D.-student at Control Methods and Robotics Laboratory, Technical University of Darmstadt. He is a part of Proreta 4, which is a joint research project with Continental AG to investigate future concepts for intelligent and learning driver assistance systems. His research focuses on self-improving vision-systems for vehicle localization and environment perception.
